Osamu and his wife got on a crowded city bus. A kind man tried to offer his seat to Osamu's wife. The man insisted strongly but kindly that she sit down. So my wife sat down without resistance because the man insisted so strongly. Osamu and his wife were planning to get off at the next stop but they didn't get off because the man had just given her his seat. They got off after two or three bus stops because they didn't want to offend the man. They told him thank you and then got off. All you have to say is. "No thank you. I'm getting off soon." Then the person will not feel bad about not giving up his/her seat.
