注文した料理についていますか。
When Osamu goes to a restaurant, this sentence is very useful for him: “Can I order the same dish as those people?” Osamu tried to use this sentence along with pointing at the person’s food and was successful in his attempt. But the waitress asked him many questions and he answered without understanding. Then he was served food that he didn’t order. You don’t have to accept the wrong order. Just tell the waitress “I didn’t order this.” They should be gracious and take it away.
あの人達と同じものを注文したいのですが？／Can I order the same dish as those people?／レストランに行く度に、メニューの横文字読解に苦労する私にとって、この表現は大変重宝なものです。一度、使ってみることにしました。隣のテーブルを指差しながら、なんなく注文に成功しました。しかし、ウェイトレスがその後いろいろと話しかけてきました。フンフンと分からないままに生返事をしていたお陰で、予定していた料理以外のものが、次々と出てくるはめとなりました。
お隣さんが注文していたものは、Set Menu かComplete meal だったのでしょう。思い切って、あの料理には何がついて来ますか？／What do I get with that meal? と尋ねて下さい。分からなければ、もう一度言っていただけますか？／Could you say that again?／と問い返して下さい。ちなみに、Set menu は、いわゆる定食を指します。Complete meal は、サラダにしますか、スープにしますか？などと、お客様に選択の余地を残すものを指します。
私の料理にはスープかサラダがついていますか。

私の料理には飲み物がついていますか。
Does my meal include a drink?
私の料理にはアペタイザーがついていますか。
